Have any plans for this last weekend of August? There is always something to do in the Magic City and once again, the spotlight is on events that are either free to attend or won’t cost you very much. Let’s get started.
Jazz fans should head over to the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami to listen to the musical stylings of The Glyn Dryhurst Dixieland Jazz Band. Attendance is free and so is the parking. For a small donation you’ll also be able to check out all of the various exhibits at the museum.
If jazz isn’t your thing, why not try some salsa music? On Fridays the Little Havana neighborhood celebrates Viernes Culturales (Cultural Fridays). The monthly festival is free to attend and includes plenty of activities and Cuban customs from dancing to playing dominoes, rolling cigars, drinking Cuban coffee, and much more. It’s a perfect outing for all ages.
Are you more in the mood for a movie? The Coral Gables Art Cinema shows late night movies on Saturdays at 11:45 pm for just $7 which also includes a complimentary popcorn. This Saturday you’ll be able to check out the critically acclaimed, Academy Award-winning film “Adaptation”.

Glad to know about these musical events. I went to my friend’s birthday party at one of reputed Los Angeles event venues last month. Loved the interior and wall paintings were of a very high quality. We enjoyed this party very much.
