Finding parking and dealing with traffic congestion may eventually become a thing of the past. Today marks the official debut of the fourth and final leg of Miami Beach’s trolley service. The complimentary trolley has launched its Collins Link route, adding the last piece to the trolley system.
With the newly unveiled route, the trolley will now be able to travel from 5th Street all the way to 88th Street with transfers. Three of the trolley’s four lines operate from 6 am until midnight, while the Alton-West Loop begins its operation at 8 am until midnight Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, all of the trolley lines begin at 8 am and run until midnight.
The completion of the trolley’s final route should come as welcome news to Miami Beach residents. Each trolley can accommodate about 25 passengers and boasts Wi-Fi access that is free as well as security cameras. There is also an app available for Android and iOS that will tell you when the next trolley will arrive.
