To celebrate this preservation, there is Art Deco Weekend, a time when the barrier island is flooded with people appreciating the city’s rich architectural history. Let’s take a look at some of the events going on.
If you’ve ever wondered about the Prohibition era, check out the History of Beer talk going on at the Starlight Lounge on Saturday, January 14th at 3 pm. Besides the talk being lead by a beer historian, you’ll also be able to try a few local craft brews.
Will your four-legged friend be joining you Art Deco Weekend? If you’re feeling up to it, enter them in the Bark Deco Dog Show. Your pooch might win in categories like “Most Unusual Mix” or “So Miami”.
