Halloween Events for the Little Ones

Tomorrow is Halloween, a time when children and adults alike get to have a little fun with their wardrobe choices. If you have or know a little one and need some ideas of places to take them, here are two suggestions.
Patricia A. Mishcon Athletic Field will serve as the setting for the Monster Mash Bash in North Miami Beach beginning at 6 pm. The kids will enjoy low-key scares along with plenty of activities such as rock climbing, arts and crafts, and even haunted ghost tours for just $1. There is no cost to attend the bash.
Maybe your little ones have four legs instead of two. If so, you may wish to visit the Spillover on Miami’s Grand Avenue to participate in Yappy Hour Barktoberfest. Open to kids and pets, there will be a costume contest, a photo booth for you and the pooch, plus activities for children like pumpkin painting. Bring along pet-friendly supplies like toys, food, or beds and you can donate them to pooches looking for a loving home at the Humane Society. Donations will earn you five raffle tickets. The fun begins at 4 pm.
THERAPY-IV, a Miami deep sea fishing boat service, brought this update to you. This charter provides all of their clientele with a high-end deep sea fishing experience. With their luxury yacht, exceptional customer service and experienced and professional Captain and crew, visitors can rest easy, they will not only have a memorable fishing experience but will also have the pleasure of visiting the best spots off the coast of Miami and Biscayne Bay. Get Ready for an All-New Bass Museum

Do you keep up on Miami Beach’s art scene at all? If so, you may be aware of The Bass Museum of Art’s closing back in 2015. This weekend, the popular art museum is returning in a major way, boasting a tweaked name and a massive revamp just in time for December’s perennially popular Art Basel.
For starters, the museum’s name is now simply The Bass. As for the revamp, it fuses classic art with a significantly stronger focus on contemporary work. To give you a better idea, Botticelli’s masterpiece “The Coronation of the Virgin” from 1492 now shares expanded gallery space with artwork by modern artists like Pascale Marthine Tayou, whose exhibit “Beautiful” will debut when The Bass opens on Sunday.
The Bass revamp has added over 3,500 square feet of gallery space, a huge new lobby, and a cafe. The classic keystone columns remain while other features like the keystone ramp have been replaced with large hallways leading into a sun-kissed courtyard, classrooms, and more.
If you’re interested in visiting The Bass, admission will be free on Sunday, October 29 before increasing to $5-$10 thereafter. Its address is 2100 Collins Avenue.

Your First Deep Sea Fishing Adventure

Have you ever been deep sea fishing? If you haven’t, you’re in for a thrilling experience! While we highly recommend a deep sea charter fishing boat to help you get your feet wet if you decide to go solo there are a couple of things to know.
Have the proper gear. What type of fish are you looking to catch? With so many different species, not every fish will respond to the same bait. Depending on the size of the fish, you may also need more powerful gear.
Know how to find the fish. To hunt down the sea dwellers you’re probably going to want to invest in a sonar device. On the other hand, you could avoid all of the guesswork and go with one of the aforementioned charter fishing boats. Let the experts deal with finding the fish while you concentrate on catching them.
Practice patience. You’ve likely seen those videos where a fisherman is reeling in a major catch. What it may fail to depict is the time it took to land. Fishing is not for the impatient, and you need to be ready the moment the fish latches onto your bait. Consider it not only a useful skill for fishing, but for life.
