Tomorrow, Miami Beach will welcome the 41st annual Art Deco Weekend. The free, open-air event takes place throughout the entire weekend and is known for drawing hundreds of thousands of people to Ocean Drive looking to enjoy one of the many guided tours, shows, and the great music. In fact, there are so many different events going on, we’re providing some suggestions to make your options less overwhelming.
On Sunday, the Bark Deco Dog Show returns for the third time at the Art Deco Welcome Center. As its name implies, it’s a show of sorts for South Florida’s finest four-legged friends. The show includes a “waggiest” tail competition to which pooch has the better costume and which one is the “most Miami”. Pet adoption services will also be there in case you want to welcome a new member of the family to your home. The show begins at 1 pm.
Those who have a preference for classic cars will find plenty of social media share-worthy vehicles dating back to the 1900s at Art Deco Weekend’s Classic Car Show. The show begins at 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday at Ocean Drive and 5th Street.
Do you have a fondness for the “Roaring 20s”? If so, check out The 2nd Annual Jazz Age at Art Deco VIP taking place at Lummus Park. You’re more than welcome to dress in 1920s outfits while jiving to live jazz music.
