Did the daylight savings time change affect your weekend due to losing an hour of sleep? No worries, this week has plenty of free events you can check out to make up for it.
If you happen to be anywhere near Surfside this week, check out Third Thursdays. Bring some friends including your four-legged friend to enjoy the event which will include animals such as macaws courtesy of Jungle Island to the street fair. There will also be live music performed by Brothers of Others, activities for children, free cocktail tastings. The festivities begin at 6 pm and there is no cost to attend.
In case you didn’t know, St. Patrick’s Day is on Saturday this year. If you’re thinking about something to do on that day, CityPlace Doral will serve as the host of “Feel the Green” St. Patrick's Day Block Party. Arts and crafts for the kids, live mural painting, appropriately Celtic dancing, and of course plenty of drinking will all be part of the fun. The party begins at 2 pm.
Also on Saturday, several local bands including Dama Vicke and the Wooly Bushmen will be performing at Las Rosas dive bar in Miami. Admission is free and there is no cover charge.
