Do you have plans after work? Tonight, Miami-Dade College’s Tower Theater Miami will be screening the first two episodes of the scripted digital series GROWN. The series stars Joshua Jean-Baptiste and Edson Jean, a pair of former New World School of the Arts students. Baptiste is an actor who has appeared in television as well as films including the Academy Award-winning drama Moonlight. The event begins at 6:30 pm and it includes an appearance by Baptiste and Jean.
Are you a fan of virtual reality technology? The Miami VR Expo is dedicated to all things VR, AR (augmented reality), and more. Any and everyone that deals with or is interested in the technology is welcome to attend. The event begins bright and early at 10 am on Friday and will take place at Magic City Studios.
Looking to unwind? The terrace of 1-800-Lucky in Miami will serve as the location of Daybreaker MIA, a yoga event hosted by Cristina Ortega which will eventually segue into a party featuring music by DJ Nii Tei. Make sure not to go to bed on Friday; the event kicks off at 9 am this Saturday.
