This Monday, we’ll be observing Veterans Day, a federal holiday where we recognize the many brave individuals who have served in the United States Armed Forces. As in the past, several events will be held throughout the country as well as here in South Florida to honor the many veterans.
On Monday, the Miami Beach Veterans Day Parade and Demonstration will happen along Ocean Ocean Drive, extending from 5th to 13th Street. After the parade, a ceremony will be held as well as a picnic and a festival at Lummus Park featuring a demonstration by the All-Veterans Parachute Team. If you’re interested in attending, the event starts at 11:11 am.
If you won’t be near Miami Beach but still wish to observe Veterans Day, the North Miami Veterans Day Ceremony is happening at Griffing Park, Northeast 123rd Street and West Dixie Highway. This event begins at 10 am.
