A Brief Introduction to the Blackfin Tuna

The blackfin tuna is frequently found across Florida in various areas, such as the Florida Keys and the northeastern bluewater ledges. There is a wealth of information about them, such as the fish’s preferred bait, which is comprised of names like ballyhoo and live sardines. Let’s explore some additional facts about this sea dweller.
Blackfin tuna, for starters, prefer to hang around waters where the temperature ranges from 71 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Although they tend to swim at depths of about 187 feet below the water surface, regular diving to depths of over 650 feet is common. Normally, during the daylight hours, blackfins stick to deeper depths, only ascending to shallower depths when dusk arrives. While there is no specific reason why blackfin tuna continues to display this activity, it may be that the fish prefers to find a spot it likes and remain there.
If you want to try and catch some blackfin tuna, book your THERAPY-IV fishing experience today.
