A Brief Introduction to the Blackfin Tuna

The blackfin tuna is frequently found across Florida in various areas, such as the Florida Keys and the northeastern bluewater ledges. There is a wealth of information about them, such as the fish’s preferred bait, which is comprised of names like ballyhoo and live sardines. Let’s explore some additional facts about this sea dweller.
Blackfin tuna, for starters, prefer to hang around waters where the temperature ranges from 71 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Although they tend to swim at depths of about 187 feet below the water surface, regular diving to depths of over 650 feet is common. Normally, during the daylight hours, blackfins stick to deeper depths, only ascending to shallower depths when dusk arrives. While there is no specific reason why blackfin tuna continues to display this activity, it may be that the fish prefers to find a spot it likes and remain there.
If you want to try and catch some blackfin tuna, book your THERAPY-IV fishing experience today.

Get in the Miami Art Week Mood with These Events

While you’re busy getting ready for Art Basel Miami Beach this week, there are plenty of other events going on to keep you busy until the artistic festivities begin. Let’s explore a few.
Christmas Day is still a few weeks away but you can meet Santa and enjoy a drink by visiting Minnow Bar on Washington Avenue. During Sippin’ Santa, Old Saint Nick himself will be delivering eight different cocktails like rum punch bowl-sized Jingle Bowl and the Kris Kringle Colada, topped with coconut. The daily event kicks off at 5 pm and ends at 2 am.
Over in Wynwood, Bar Alter will be the host of Minnie’s Disco, a pop-up cafe throwback inspired by various cities and countries like Paris and Japan. Also serving as a club, acclaimed chef Brad Kilgore will be providing plenty of cocktails and light bites as funky music blares from the speakers. The party begins at 10 pm until 3 am on weekdays and from 12 pm to 5 pm on weekends.
