While many are fortunate to have their jobs and the resources to pay the bills and put food on the table, countless others are struggling to make it as a result of the difficulties brought on by the coronavirus. To help those that need it, Miami Beach is launching an initiative to provide food for families throughout Miami-Dade County, and you can help!
Beginning this Wednesday, May 13, the Fillmore Miami Beach will be accepting non-perishable food items from noon until 5 pm. The donations will continue until Saturday. People that wish to donate should gather the items and place them in a big in their vehicle trunk. When visiting, you are encouraged to enter the venue via the circle driveway on Washington Avenue. Look for the large overhand where collections will be taking place. All you’ll need to do is pop the trunk open and a volunteer will grab the bags, there is no need to exit your vehicle.
The Fillmore Miami Beach address is 1700 Washington Avenue.
