In case you missed the news, several parks and facilities in Miami Beach reopened last week after Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez spearheaded an order to reopen various golf courses, waterways, and more. The plan does come with various restrictions in place.
Among the places now open are Flamingo Park and its track, the North Shore Park batting cages, and various tennis courts. Despite the openings, restrictions mandating social distancing remain firmly in place and park rangers will be making sure these rules remain enforced. Several parks like Beach View Park, LaGorce Park, and Washington Dog Park also remain closed and amenities such as volleyball and basketball courts remain off-limits to decrease the chances of large gatherings.
Currently, park hours in Miami Beach are from 7 am to 7 pm. Boat ramps are also open from 6 am to 8 pm for those wishing to sail or go fishing. Municipal parking lots at the city parks are only open to those registered with Miami Beach’s residential parking program.
