As a result of circumstances just about everyone is familiar with, this year’s Art Basel Miami Beach is going virtual, as are the majority of satellite fairs that take place during Art Week. While you’ll need to go online to check out Art Basel works, some much smaller events are happening in Miami Beach and beyond.
For example, The Sagamore will be showcasing various works throughout the property during Art Week and part of the sales earned from the art sales will be used to support The Bass in acquiring art from local Miami-based artists.
Over on Lincoln Road, the Oolite Arts’ Pop-Up Exhibition “MATERIALIZE” kicked off last week and will stick around until December 6. All of the featured artwork is available for purchase, and all proceeds will go directly to the creative minds behind the art. With works ranging from a dollar to more than $1,000, there is more than enough to choose from. The in-person works for sale are set up with social distancing in mind. MATERIALIZE is open from noon to 8 pm.
